Wedding ~ Walter + Anna

This is my last late post from 2009! Woooohooooo!!! :) 
November 30th was an extremely cold day, I remember that, in which I had the opportunity to 2nd shoot with Erin Fults. This has to be my favorite wedding yet, simply because I am artsy fartsy and absolutely adored all the unique little details that made this wedding celebration. As you'll see it wasn't your traditional wedding in more ways than one... they were married at the Agricultural Museum in Jackson, Mississippi for one thing, and...well, I won't spoil the fun, you'll see all the fun uniqueness for yourself. I could spend days going on and on about all of the intricate details and unique touches that Anna created on their special day. This post doesn't go into the reception details, but they were so amazing, Erin did a separate post on some of the fabulous intricate details that made this wedding one of a kind. Thank you Erin for letting me tag along and learn from you! Your knowledge and passion for photography and your detailed love for your clients has taught me soooooo much! My gratitude is more than I could ever express! THANK YOU!!!

This adorable mailbox and postcards were at the reception to send the bride and groom a congratulations message, such a great idea! 

I love love love Anna's details... they are just uniquely the best! 


A cute pair of shoes makes everything JUST RIGHT... that coming from a recovering shoe addict... wait...I'm not sure I've actually recovered yet... :o/

I was sent to get shots of Walter getting ready while Erin captured the bridal prep. :)



NOTE: TO ALL FUTURE BRIDES! These 2 images capture the essence of why I adore when couples see each other before the wedding...Walter waited patiently in an empty church with flowers in hand, ready to give Anna her bouquet. Anna came in behind him and the minutes that followed were sheer intimate bliss between the two of them! I love the tender sweetness that flowed between them as they enjoyed each other before the madness of pictures, ceremony, and reception began. Love love love this time of intimate love between the two of them in these moments!












Also, seeing each other before the wedding allows for an abundance of time to take fun couple shots... which of course is a photographer's dream, well THIS photographer at least! ;)




and they lived happily ever after... :)

Princess I have seen those pictures and loved them the first time but I also love your comments - your an awesome blogger! The pics and comments together make for a fun, fun blog! I'd follow you any day - haha

Beautiful Brock Bunch ~ Family + Children Portraiture

I woke up early Friday morning, and instead of going to work as usual, I headed to Mynelle Gardens in Jackson with a big cheesy grin on my face! It was cloudy, like as in thick, perfect, harsh sun filtering clouds; it was cool, and it was a perfect day for a family photo session with the Brocks.  I first met the Brocks at Redeemer, where we attend church. They were the very first family to invite me over for lunch and make me feel welcome, like a part of theirs. We hit it off like we had known each other for years, and they have graciously tolerated me as a family appendage ever since. Engagement ~ Trey + Jennifer

This past Saturday was a gorgeous overcast day in the park. The winds rushed by us sweeping hair and causing chill bumps but Jennifer and Trey were champs and stuck it out all three hours with me! Y'all are the best!!! I met Jennifer a couple months ago and she's sweet like some home made chocolate cake! She is so adorable and what I would classify as a true southern belle! This past Saturday afternoon I had the privilege of meeting the man that makes her smile. It took Trey a hot second to warm up to me and my 'all up in his face' camera, but once he got comfy, it was all she wrote.  They are so in love it oozes from them in every way, with every look, touch, kiss, and hug. I almost had to stop mid-session to clean my lens the love was so thick! ;) His quiet steady personality anchors her outgoing fun sassiness.
