Mad Skillz Momma

My Momma sent these pics to me this morning from Mexico. She's a creative quilter and just started her new project while on holiday break from language school. Creativity is always a great mental holiday for an overworked brain! She showed me these adorable lil flowers that she is making on Skype Sunday night and I fell in love! They are absolutely the cutest things ever! It takes her a super long time to do each one...she's so talented, gifted, and patient! All I have to say is my Momma has serious mad quiliting skillz!
Phssssssh!, and I wonder where I get my creativity from! HELLO?!?! Duh!
I love you Momma and I love seeing your creativity at work again!
It actually makes me want to get out the paints! ;)

I just love the Winters Family! Heather and Eric are practically part of my family. Their girls are bestest friends with my niece and nephews, as well as they are best of friends with my brother and sis-in-law. Also they are no strangers to my camera as I have done several sessions with their beautiful, adorable lil' girls!  This year I had the privilege of doing a complete Winter-Thornton Family session! I got to meet Heather's parents, two brothers and their families. It was a gorgeous day and we made the most of the sunshine and their family land. The LiL Gifts

It seems to be the lil things that mean the most this time of year..... The sparkle of decorations, tree lights, and the twinkle in the kid's eyes when present time comes around...   The unfiltered expressions of elation in getting fun gifts...   Getting them just the right gift  and seeing it in their smiles...   Watching them play, climb, enjoy and meddle with the Christmas things...   Getting those unexpected hugs and 'I love yous' from lil ones...   Watching personalities light up and come alive...   Love that unfiltered excitement...   These lil ones make this time of year priceless...
