2nd Shooter Confessions

Ok, ok, I have a confession to make before I post the next three sessions. I'm about to truly find out how foot taste. I say that because the next three posts go way back to last year. And I don't just mean last year, I mean deep into 2009. I'm ashamed to say that I've let these sit, some for over 9 months :(
Ugh! Public confessions are so nasty!
My only saving grace is that I was the 2nd shooter. Therefore, of course I got the images to the photographer the day of the wedding, right after each wedding actually. So the clients received their images on time and everyone was happy...... all except my blog readers, ooops!!, who for the past 9 months possibly thought I quit the bizz! No, no I haven't quit and at this very moment I'm eating my delinquency and tardiness like cold collard greens! Hot ones are gross enough, but cold... that's just, well that's just how painful it is to admit my tardiness
So all I can do is ask for pardon, forgiveness, leniency, grace........ please? pretty please with sugar and 3 wedding session images on top?!
Stay tuned for my overdue update.
:)

Children + Family Journal :|: Thornton Families

I just love the Winters Family! Heather and Eric are practically part of my family. Their girls are bestest friends with my niece and nephews, as well as they are best of friends with my brother and sis-in-law. Also they are no strangers to my camera as I have done several sessions with their beautiful, adorable lil' girls!  This year I had the privilege of doing a complete Winter-Thornton Family session! I got to meet Heather's parents, two brothers and their families. It was a gorgeous day and we made the most of the sunshine and their family land. Her mom was so sweet to cut the grass for me and fix things up just so ... then I shocked her by wanting to do a lot of the shooting in an old chicken house. The lighting was amazing as the bright sunshine diffused through the house. hahaha! I guess only a crazy photographer's eye   would think of such insanity! ha! Sorry Mrs. Barbara... I had so much fun meeting all of the Thornton family...   Heather, I know I've ...

The LiL Gifts

It seems to be the lil things that mean the most this time of year..... The sparkle of decorations, tree lights, and the twinkle in the kid's eyes when present time comes around...   The unfiltered expressions of elation in getting fun gifts...   Getting them just the right gift  and seeing it in their smiles...   Watching them play, climb, enjoy and meddle with the Christmas things...   Getting those unexpected hugs and 'I love yous' from lil ones...   Watching personalities light up and come alive...   Love that unfiltered excitement...   These lil ones make this time of year priceless... From my family to yours with joy... HAPPY HOLIDAYS! :)
