Beautiful Box Boys ~ Tennessee

This weekend I had the privilege of chasing around my two favorite 2nd cousins. Yes, maybe I am just a tad bit biased... but just wait until you see these handsome lil men and big bright blue eyes! You will be just as much in love with them as I am! They're irresistible!
Saturday turned into the most gorgeous, partly cloudy, warm spring day... a photographer's dream, really! We loaded both boys up, pimped out in Baby Gap, and looking fly and headed to the Pink Palace in Memphis. It's a children's museum, but the landscaped grounds and the architecture in the front were perfect for a children's session. We strolled to the front and let em loose! In all honesty, I was surprised at how many good shots we got, because I literally chased baby C and big C around all day long! Me and their mom worked so hard trying to get their attention and after 2 hours we FINALLY gave up and just let them do their thing... and this is what we got. After the session we stopped by a playground for them to enjoy the beautiful spring day, and I couldn't help it, I had to get a few more shots. Then after big C kept running from my camera... I gave up for the rest of the day. It was over by then, they were exhausted from pimping so much earlier that day. I mean being that handsome can be some hard work sometimes. After checking out these lil handsome boys, don't tell me that you're not in love... don't fight it...enjoy!

Children + Family Journal :|: Thornton Families

I just love the Winters Family! Heather and Eric are practically part of my family. Their girls are bestest friends with my niece and nephews, as well as they are best of friends with my brother and sis-in-law. Also they are no strangers to my camera as I have done several sessions with their beautiful, adorable lil' girls!  This year I had the privilege of doing a complete Winter-Thornton Family session! I got to meet Heather's parents, two brothers and their families. It was a gorgeous day and we made the most of the sunshine and their family land. Her mom was so sweet to cut the grass for me and fix things up just so ... then I shocked her by wanting to do a lot of the shooting in an old chicken house. The lighting was amazing as the bright sunshine diffused through the house. hahaha! I guess only a crazy photographer's eye   would think of such insanity! ha! Sorry Mrs. Barbara... I had so much fun meeting all of the Thornton family...   Heather, I know I've ...

The LiL Gifts

It seems to be the lil things that mean the most this time of year..... The sparkle of decorations, tree lights, and the twinkle in the kid's eyes when present time comes around...   The unfiltered expressions of elation in getting fun gifts...   Getting them just the right gift  and seeing it in their smiles...   Watching them play, climb, enjoy and meddle with the Christmas things...   Getting those unexpected hugs and 'I love yous' from lil ones...   Watching personalities light up and come alive...   Love that unfiltered excitement...   These lil ones make this time of year priceless... From my family to yours with joy... HAPPY HOLIDAYS! :)
