Children's Journal :|: Winter Girls

It is my privilege to introduce to you the Winter girls. Last thursday, Lil' Lucy turned one and I had the joy of journaling her on her birthday. Lucy even shared some of the spotlight with her big Sis Addison. We had so much fun wandering around Strawberry Patch Park, getting dirty, chasing ducks, and just being fun lil girls :) One of the reasons I love journaling children with photography is because you can capture the exact place they are at in life. Both lil' Winters are at a hair phase. Lucy wanted her pretty white bow  out of her hair! This was the beginning of the bow wars... stay tuned for the winner!  Bis Sis is a twirly girl at this fun stage. She twirls those pretty red curls like they're satin ribbons between her fingers Love their froofy white dresses! I mean girls just gotta be girls sometimes ;) Addison, better know as Mini E. has the cutest personality... I think it's  somewhat similar to her daddy! Fun and full of life! Aren't they just adorable?! ...

Anytime :|: Julia Barranco :|: Swimming Skillz

Meet Mia and Julia, sweet sisters that are extremely talented. Both swimmers, which only scratches the surface of their God given gifts... Julia currently swims on the Sunkist team in the Jackson Metro area, and I am not being biased at all when I say she's a frickin stud in the swimming pool! The girl's got serious swimming skillz! I enjoyed watching her most recent swim meet & caught some action shots as she owned lane 3! It's so awesome to watch her swim the fly! Maybe it intrigues me so much because I've always wished I could execute it with such ease like Julia does.... and never have been able to . My butterfly looks more like a wounded moth in the water! ha! I had some fun with her pics & some grunge action layers. The face of focused determination! I mean hello?! Michael Phelps eat your heart out! Look at that form would ya!! This one was an uh oh, but I love the feel of it so much! I'll end with the classic fav... freestyle. Julia in...

Anniversary :|: 60 Years of Love

It was such an honor to document a very special anniversary party. It wasn't just any anniversary... it was the Russ' Wedding Anniversary! Mama and Papa Russ have remained in love for sixty years... yeh, you read right... SIXTY!!!  Now the the Russ' aren't just any ol' married couple, they're my adopted grandparents! :) They mean the world to me and are the sweetest, most loving, gracious and kind people I know, full of life and overflowing with the love of the Lord.  Ok, maybe the sweetness is more the better half.... Mama Russ ;) just kidding. Papa Russ is just as sweet and lovable! I think she  finally rubbed off on him after 60 long years!! It was a sweet occasion, as their family came in from all over to celebrate their love and commitment to one another. The family decorated the church and also prepared the food. Everything was  so beautiful! Their Daughter, Cathy, is an extraordinary chef and caterer. She made the cake along with the other pretty food p...
