Meet Judge Vernon R. Cotten. He is Circuit Judge of the 8th Judicial District, which includes Leake, Neshoba, Newton and Scott Counties, Mississippi. Recently he has made the decision to run for re-election in 2010. Therefore, he needed some photos for his campaign materials, ads, cards, signs, flyers, etc. So this afternoon we braved the heat and snapped a few photos of the Honorable Judge around downtown Carthage. I would like to take this opportunity to brag a little on my boss, and no, not because he's paying me to. Judge Cotten is genuinely the most godly gentleman I know. He has taught me so much as he lives out his walk with God from day to day in the public eye. Christ's love is unmistakeable in his compassion, kindness, and heart felt love for others. He never shies away from sharing his faith...basically if you walk in our office, you're going to hear the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I am so thankful for him and the opportunity I have to work with him. Lord Jesus...

Yesterday, on June 19, 2009 our family celebrated a precious birthday! It was my Momma's bday...the amazing godly woman that gave me life. Not only has she given me physical life, but she has been a shining light of another life that I claim. As we celebrated her 30+years birthday I was overwhelmed with joy and gratitude at the years and relationship that I share with my momma. She is an amazing mother, my faithful prayer warrior, a fun Granna, a visible vessel of God's grace and love in my life, and my very best friend. I honestly could not have hand picked a better momma! God has blessed me so tremendously with her, and so it was easy to celebrate her special day! In fact I think she deserves more celebration than just one day! I love you Momma and thank you for letting me share in your life...thank you for being a light of God's grace and love to me! You've given me the best gift a momma ever could, and you are the best momma I've ever had! ;) Happy Birthday Momm...

It is catch up day for sure! She is a local photographer out of Clinton, MS; one whom I grew up with. :) So I enjoy working with her so much, because she is an amazing godly lady, a precious family friend, and last but definitely not least a fabulous photographer. I also know her precious family as we have grown up together, separated by age, but brought together now by a common passion.  She is so gracious to teach me as she works and to patiently trust me with assisting in her client's weddings and engagement sessions. Her depth of knowledge constantly amazes me. It has taken me forever...not to finish my modge podge wall hanging, but to post pictures of the finished product! ;) Today is update blog day!  Here is the finished decoupage project. I took all of the cards, ribbons, bow, bags, etc. from one of my best friend's baby shower. I tore the cards, saving the sweet written notes.  I cut the bags, using the cutest part of the design, and I used this amazing miracle glue called 'Modge Podge' to bring together a gorgeous baby room wall hanging for baby C's room.  Just click on the picture itself to see the detail...enjoy!
