It seems to be the lil things that mean the most this time of year..... The sparkle of decorations, tree lights, and the twinkle in the kid's eyes when present time comes around...   The unfiltered expressions of elation in getting fun gifts...   Getting them just the right gift  and seeing it in their smiles...   Watching them play, climb, enjoy and meddle with the Christmas things...   Getting those unexpected hugs and 'I love yous' from lil ones...   Watching personalities light up and come alive...   Love that unfiltered excitement...   These lil ones make this time of year priceless... I met Elmore + Verticia a couple weeks ago. It was such a fun day of celebration as two became one.    I was so excited to meet this sweet couple. Both are students at Jackson State University and are members of the Reformed University Fellowship under the teaching of Elbert McGowan.   It was such a joyful day! Not only was I privileged to witness and journal the marriage ceremony of this sweet couple... I also got to hear one of my favorite brothers/pastors officiate the ceremony.   We met at the Reservoir for the celebration and quickly realized... we're going to freeze! Especially Verticia! Her dress was sooo pretty... It was that fun flowy satiny material. She was stunning, so gorgeous! But hello, fun flowy satiny stuff is not very warm ... so we snapped a few fun shots, then went back to the warm for the ceremony.    It made me melt a lil the way Elmore looks at his new wife. A couple Sundays back I had the opportunity to spend the afternoon with the McGowan family. I love them so much! Elbert is the RUF Pastor at Jackson State University. He is a gifted vessel of the Lord and God is doing great and wonderful things in and through him.   Not only is he gifted in ministry, but he has been blessed with a beautiful family! THEY'RE ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS!   I think it's safe to say their sweet lil cuties got their looks from their daddy, because obviously Karen still has hers!  ;) jk Elbert!    Are they not the most adorable lil angels ever?! Don't argue with me Karen! They ARE ANGELS! Pretty ones at that! :)   Ever so often the Lord brings along a loving family that's real, open, genuine, caring, godly and loving. Now in my little world these are God's blessings to me! lol... yes, mine! I just love this family, their friendship, their smiles, encouragement, the way they live out their walks with Jesus, all the while allowing you to be...

Nikki R. is definitely a fav of mine! She's a great friend and well, let's go ahead and say it... I'm an adopted daughter in her family :)  Another reason I just love this girl so much is because she makes me feel like I'm the amazing photographer, Nigel Barker on Tyra's Americas Next Top Model  I mean this girl just knows how to work it!  See!!!
