Davis Wedding ~ Waveland, MS

On April 17th I had the privilege to journal a fun wedding celebration. Four years ago a mutual friend set up Trey and Jennifer and held their breath in hopes of 'something' working out. On this sunny day, on the beach, in Waveland, Mississippi, no one was holding their breath. They gasped at the first glance of a gorgeous bride, fought back tears as best friends became husband and wife, and smiled from ear to ear as friends, family, and loved ones celebrated the new couple, Mr. and Mrs. Davis.
ALL of the details involved in the wedding fit to a tee representing everything that Trey and Jennifer were and are as a couple. The details were fun, timeless, simple, elegant, and just so unique that it was unmistakably Davis! ;)

This is a really long post & I won't bore you to death with my commentary, but I have to make just a few comments! I mean hello, my mouth runs 24/7 anyways, so why should my photography blog be any different?! haha
The shot below is extra special. It was taken with a very special lady in mind and at heart. You see, the blue sapphire ring that Jennifer wore belonged to her Granny that 'went home' a few days before the wedding. Not only was she on the hearts and minds of everyone there, she was with them... she was present...on Jennifer's right hand, in her eyes, through her smile, in her thoughts, and heavy on her heart. I could tell through out the day, at certain times Jennifer was thinking about her, fighting back tears on several occasions, but after each thought of her Granny a small grin would cross her face. She knew that she was as much a part of this wedding as ever before. She was missed, but celebrated also. :)

I love the intricacy of the vows on the wedding cake!

Seeeeeeeeee.... uniquely Davis!

Isn't she a stunning bride?!....... I know, right!?! GORGEOUS!

Classic elegance...

This was an UH-OH... but I really like it anyways!

Aren't those the most amazing blue eyes EVER?!

Jennifer was full of expression! It was easy to see the emotions that were flowing through her... excitement, anticipation, joy, love... I absolutely loved journaling her throughout the day.

She arrived in an AWESOME Chevy! I mean hello... classic

There is absolutely nothing like capturing the groom's face while seeing his bride for the first time. There is so much adoration in those blue eyes! It just don't get any better than that right there!

Jennifer's sister, Courtney, was precious and was literally overflowing with joy for her sisser!

I could've snapped shots of Jennifer's bow dancing in the wind all day long! Love it!

Angela Ewing captured the next shot, along with many more. She was so gracious to 2nd shoot for me. She was an enormous help to me! More than I can express here. Thank you Ang for helping me & for using your amazing talent to capture some fabulous shots from this day of celebration!
THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH!
Such excitement!...meet Mr. and Mrs. Davis!

Thank you Trey and Jennifer for allowing me to share in the first day of the rest of your lives together. I had so much fun journaling your special day. Thank you for a fun day filled with excitement and love!
And the rest is History...

Children + Family Journal :|: Thornton Families

I just love the Winters Family! Heather and Eric are practically part of my family. Their girls are bestest friends with my niece and nephews, as well as they are best of friends with my brother and sis-in-law. Also they are no strangers to my camera as I have done several sessions with their beautiful, adorable lil' girls!  This year I had the privilege of doing a complete Winter-Thornton Family session! I got to meet Heather's parents, two brothers and their families. It was a gorgeous day and we made the most of the sunshine and their family land. Her mom was so sweet to cut the grass for me and fix things up just so ... then I shocked her by wanting to do a lot of the shooting in an old chicken house. The lighting was amazing as the bright sunshine diffused through the house. hahaha! I guess only a crazy photographer's eye   would think of such insanity! ha! Sorry Mrs. Barbara... I had so much fun meeting all of the Thornton family...   Heather, I know I've ...

Wedding :|: Tim + Janet Jordan

I love Janet Morrow Jordan! I had the privilege of working with her during my high school and college days. We went through a lot together, therefore it meant the world to me to have the privilege to capture her wedding. I enjoyed every second of Janet + Tim's special day. It brought my heart deep joy and satisfaction to see Janet so happy and loved. Not only did I enjoy capturing her wedding; shooting her wedding also reunited Janet and I after about eight years of our lives going in opposite directions. So not only am I overjoyed at her finding the love of her life. I am thrilled to have a great friend back! The only problem in doing this post is I had trouble only picking a few pictures... so it's a long post of fun details and love. Enjoy  Amber, Janet's precious daughter, wrote her the most intimate, loving letter before her wedding. She gave her the letter to read along with a handkerchief which belonged to Janet's PePop. Amber also carried PePop's hand...
