Thanksgiving Gingerbread Decor-eating?!

The Scott Family Thanksgiving was at my house this year. We had so much fun with everyone here...the kids even got Thanksgiving surprises. Granna made them pillow cases of their favorite animations. Raney got Dora the Explorer

Wyatt got Thomas the train. They loved them as you can see...stay tuned for Christmas as there might be more to follow... ;)

They both immediately wanted to check them out! I have a feeling their dreams are a lil sweeter now on those hand made pillow cases, because they were stitched together with some serious love!

It was Holden's first Thanksgiving & we are so thankful for him. He was such a sweet boy, just hanging out with us all day, taking in the fun. 

He's our cute lil Turkey! 

He sure does love his mommy! Kelly you're such an amazing mother & gorgeous at that! My camera loves loves loves you!

What's Thanksgiving without some lemon lickin!?!

Let the Gingerbread Decor-EATING begin! Chad & Kelly built themselves a nice retirement cabin on some land for future enjoyment, of course! 

Raney's creative side came out... she absolutely loved decor-eating her house...

Wyatt had great ideas & was taking in all offered suggestions. Ya know all these candy details have to be just so ;)

We lost one lil' decorator! It was all just too much for him! I think the smell of all the candy made him lose the passie...but obviously he eventually gave up, when he didn't get any! 

Granna gets the all time G.Bread House Helper Award... she's the best!!!

Caught in the act...which coined the term "decor-eating"... I think more candy and icing 'glue' went in Raney's mouth than on her house! She loves her some sugar...and that's why she's my lil Sugar Bean!

Daddy's Duck/Deer Blind...on this side you have the duck blind equipped with green duck decoys, mounted guns from the window, tree stumps in the water...many duck M&Ms will fall from the sky out of this baby!

Wyatt's Gingerbread House... please note the satellite dish on the roof...compliments of his daddy. Like father like son!

As if we hadn't eaten enough candy...what's Thanksgiving without some games... Candy Land is the choice of the day... might as well follow the theme!

Granna cooked some amazing turkey and Thanksgiving goodies, but this is the Lil' Turkey she enjoyed the most! He's so snuggly

Beautiful Brock Bunch ~ Family + Children Portraiture

I woke up early Friday morning, and instead of going to work as usual, I headed to Mynelle Gardens in Jackson with a big cheesy grin on my face! It was cloudy, like as in thick, perfect, harsh sun filtering clouds; it was cool, and it was a perfect day for a family photo session with the Brocks.  I first met the Brocks at Redeemer, where we attend church. They were the very first family to invite me over for lunch and make me feel welcome, like a part of theirs. We hit it off like we had known each other for years, and they have graciously tolerated me as a family appendage ever since. Engagement ~ Trey + Jennifer

This past Saturday was a gorgeous overcast day in the park. The winds rushed by us sweeping hair and causing chill bumps but Jennifer and Trey were champs and stuck it out all three hours with me! Y'all are the best!!! I met Jennifer a couple months ago and she's sweet like some home made chocolate cake! She is so adorable and what I would classify as a true southern belle! This past Saturday afternoon I had the privilege of meeting the man that makes her smile. It took Trey a hot second to warm up to me and my 'all up in his face' camera, but once he got comfy, it was all she wrote.  They are so in love it oozes from them in every way, with every look, touch, kiss, and hug. I almost had to stop mid-session to clean my lens the love was so thick! ;) His quiet steady personality anchors her outgoing fun sassiness.
