Workshop 101 + Mrs. Ewing Debut

This past Friday I was privileged to attend a workshop hosted by Erin Fults, a very talented photographer in Clinton, MS. She has been so gracious to take me under her wing over this past year and has taught me so much about photography. She overflows with wisdom, insight, tips, technicalness (is that a word?), tricks, knowledge and know how & this past Friday I was privileged to sit under the Erin Fults fountain of knowledge and soak like a parched earth after a drought.

The day was so much fun as Erin taught about DSLR cameras and specifically how to shoot on manual mode instead of automatic point and shoot. WOW! Who knew there was so much involved in taking the perfect picture! Several light bulbs went off in my head as she taught. I love those AH HA moments when 1 + 1 finally meet and it all comes together and = 2!

Erin is a talented and unique photographer, wise and gifted teacher, and most important to me, a loving, gracious and kind friend!

I love you Erin and thank you for taking time out of your busy schedule share some of your gold nuggets of knowledge!

Meet Mrs. Angela Ewing!

I was so blessed all the way around & surrounded by sweet friends on Friday! Angela is one of my closest friends, and she was our gorgeous model on Friday, not to mention she doubled as chef in the kitchen with me... thank you, thank you, thank you, I couldn't have done it without you! I have to share that on the way to the workshop Angela was a lil nervous and not too sure about the whole "modeling thing"....

Oh, but once she got going there was no stopping her...

She is a natural, there is no question about that...

She worked it out in front of 15+ cameras like it was nothing!!! Just another day being gorgeous! :)

Ang, thank you for letting your sweet personality show through in front of our cameras!

Not only is she a stunning natural beauty but she's stylish too!

And trust me when I say her heart is just as beautiful as her smile! It was a fabulous workshop, I could not have asked for more.

Beautiful Brock Bunch ~ Family + Children Portraiture

I woke up early Friday morning, and instead of going to work as usual, I headed to Mynelle Gardens in Jackson with a big cheesy grin on my face! It was cloudy, like as in thick, perfect, harsh sun filtering clouds; it was cool, and it was a perfect day for a family photo session with the Brocks. I first met the Brocks at Redeemer, where we attend church. They were the very first family to invite me over for lunch and make me feel welcome, like a part of theirs. We hit it off like we had known each other for years, and they have graciously tolerated me as a family appendage ever since. Christina and Justin are the cutest coolest couple around, and they have truly, the most adorable kids this side of the Ross Barnett Reservoir! ;) They are fun, energetic, goofy, handsome, gorgeous, full of life, joy, and love. Engagement ~ Trey + Jennifer

This past Saturday was a gorgeous overcast day in the park. The winds rushed by us sweeping hair and causing chill bumps but Jennifer and Trey were champs and stuck it out all three hours with me! Y'all are the best!!! I met Jennifer a couple months ago and she's sweet like some home made chocolate cake! She is so adorable and what I would classify as a true southern belle! This past Saturday afternoon I had the privilege of meeting the man that makes her smile. It took Trey a hot second to warm up to me and my 'all up in his face' camera, but once he got comfy, it was all she wrote. They are so in love it oozes from them in every way, with every look, touch, kiss, and hug. I almost had to stop mid-session to clean my lens the love was so thick! ;) His quiet steady personality anchors her outgoing fun sassiness.
